Maybe the most Swedish thing of them all….

The “smultron” berry, a small wild strawberry. It is so Swedish that it appears in many summer songs and is a symbol for Swedish summer. It is traditionally picked and threaded on a straw like this. The berry tastes more than a strawberry (a more complex and intense flavor). It is summer in a little red package.
