Just enough snow to make a little snowman ⛄️
The weather gurus have said that we’re in for a green Christmas, so we better make the most of what little snow we have before it disappears…
At Sweden’s biggest amusement park Liseberg in Gothenburg there is a big Christmas fair in December every year.
“Lussekatt och pepparkaka”
Saffronbun (the typical Swedish name actually is Lusse cat, and Lusse refers to Lucia the celebrations on the 13th of December) and gingerbread cookie.
The winter part of the WRC is in Sweden this weekend. Luckily for them the roads are frozen (for the most part) there is even some snow in the northern region of the area they drive in.
A week ago we had more or less normal January weather (1,5 ft snow and -5F), then a few days ago something happened and now… (38,3F)
I wonder how long this will last, can’t be that spring is on its way already. There’s got to be a setback 😒
This photo is taken at 3pm!!! A few weeks ago it would have been dark by then. It’s just getting lighter and lighter now… It is pretty cold though -5,8F ⛄️
Is it really December???
It’s weirdly hot outside for this time of the year… 10,5C = 50,9F when we should have somewhere between -15C = 5F and -25C = -13F.
It sure seems like we won’t have a White Christmas this year…..
The perfect Swedish egg waffle 🙂 with whipped cream and strawberry jam. Many will have a waffle dinner or lunch (waffles are not breakfast food in Sweden)
3 eggs, 1 cup milk, 1 cup flour (depends on the consistency of the batter), 2 tbs melted butter
